First, the setting of their Tomintoul Distillery, right in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, is breathtaking. The scenic beauty of the Highlands adds a whole different level to the experience. It’s not just about the whisky here; it’s about embracing that serene Scottish atmosphere.
Now, onto the tour itself. What I appreciated the most was the balance between traditional and modern techniques they showcased. There’s a certain charm in seeing how the age-old whisky-making processes are still revered. As someone who’s seen a fair share of distilleries, I found their approach both authentic and informative.
The highlight for me was definitely the tasting session at the end of the tour.
