History of Ardnamurchan Distillery
The Ardnamurchan Distillery has a fascinating history, closely linked with its parent company, the Adelphi Distillery. Adelphi, established in 1826 by Charles and David Gray on the banks of the River Clyde, was known for its significant contributions to the Scotch whisky industry. This led to a renewed interest in the brand and the eventual establishment of the Ardnamurchan Distillery. Planning permission was granted in 2012, with the first ground broken in 2013. The distillery was officially opened in 2014 by HRH The Princess Royal.
