About Crawford Distillery

 

Crawford Distillery, a micro distillery located in Havre, Montana, was founded by Neil and Alyssa Crawford in 2018. The distillery is a realization of Neil Crawford’s long-held dream to create a space where people can come together to enjoy craft spirits and engaging conversations. 

After years of honing his skills in distilling, Neil, together with his wife Alyssa, opened the doors of Crawford Distillery, offering a variety of handcrafted spirits.

The distillery reflects their shared passion for craft spirits and the desire to bring people together in a welcoming environment.

 

 

Distilling Process at Crawford Distillery

The process of distilling is fermenting grains of sugar and making a beer out of it. Then put it in a still and then get the alcohol and concentrate it.

Both of the stills used at Crawford Distillery are hybrid stills, one in particular has five plates which means it is getting distilled at different times.

Crawford Distillery ages all their whiskies for a minimum of two years. They have some bourbon set aside for longer and they age all their rum for a minimum of one year.

Crawford Distillery currently sources most of its grain from Montana Milling out of Conrad Montana.
