History of Eastside Distilling

Eastside Distilling, located in Portland, Oregon, has evolved significantly since its inception in 2008.

Originally a small rum importer, it now stands as the country’s first and only publicly traded craft distillery, listed on NASDAQ as EAST. Over 14 years, Eastside Distilling has developed and launched a variety of award-winning spirits.

Their portfolio boasts unique offerings like the Quercus Garryana barrel-finished Burnside Whiskey family, Portland Potato Vodka, Hue-Hue Cold Brewed Coffee Rum, and Azuñia Organic Tequilas.

In addition to creating its own brands, Eastside Distilling has expanded its craft footprint through strategic acquisitions, including Big Bottom Distilling, Motherlode Bottling Services, Craft Canning + Bottling, and Azuñia Tequila.

Awards Won by Eastside Distilling

Eastside Distilling has achieved notable recognition in the spirits industry, particularly at the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Here’s a summary of their achievements:

• Double Gold Medal: For Delta Small Batch Rye Whiskey, marking the second consecutive year Eastside won this prestigious award in the rye whiskey category.

• Multiple Gold Medals: These were awarded to various products including London Dry Gin, Barrel Finished Gin, American Blended Whiskey Finished in Port Cask, and Burnside Goose Hollow RSV Bourbon.

• Several Silver and Bronze Medals: Eastside also earned silver medals for products like Redneck Riviera Whiskey, Portland Marionberry Vodka, and several others, along with bronze medals for Oregon Marionberry Whiskey, Portland Potato Vodka, and The Ninety One Gin.

In the 2020 Ultimate Spirits Challenge, their Azuñia Black Extra-Aged Añejo Tequila and Hue-Hue Coffee Rum were named finalists with scores of 94 and 92, respectively.
