Firestone & Robertson Distilling Co., founded by Leonard Firestone and Troy Robertson, holds the distinction of being the first craft bourbon and whiskey distillery in North Texas.

The founders, who met through their children’s playgroup, discovered their shared passion for whiskey and old-fashioned craftsmanship, leading them to leave the corporate world and pursue their distilling dreams.

Their journey began with a serendipitous encounter, where both planned independent visits to the same craft distillery to learn more about the trade.

This coincidence led to a partnership driven by a shared vision of creating authentic Texas whiskeys.

With extensive experience in startup companies, Firestone and Robertson combined their skills and passion to turn their whiskey dreams into reality.

They found the perfect location for their distillery in a reclaimed prohibition-era warehouse just south of downtown Fort Worth.

The duo meticulously renovated the interior, repurposing materials found in the building, and installed two custom-built copper pot-column hybrid stills from Vendome Copper & Brass Works, Inc., a top still manufacturer in the United States.
