Founding and Early Years
The Sagamore Spirit Distillery was established in 2017 by Kevin Plank, the CEO of Under Armour. Plank’s vision was to revive Maryland’s rich rye whiskey heritage, utilizing the pure spring-fed waters of Sagamore Farm, which he also owns. The distillery was built with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and quality, aiming to produce some of the finest rye whiskey in the country.

The tasting session was the highlight, with a chance to sample their award-winning rye whiskeys. The Nineteen O’ Nine whiskey bar offered unique cocktails that were a treat. Overall, a fantastic experience! I’d rate it a 4.7 out of 5.
