Tasting Notes:
Nose:
The nose initially seems less convincing but evolves over time. It starts with sourdough, salt & pepper, cumin, and camphor. As it breathes, it reveals notes of resin, capers, green apple, kiwi, macadamia, and almonds.
Taste:
The palate offers a completely different experience, starting intensely as if it had a higher ABV than the nose suggests. It features camphor, green and red apple, kiwi, grapefruit, orange, fine ash, autumn leaves, coal, malt, zucchini, and a mix of bourbon and sherry cask influences. It is intense yet perfectly balanced, with additional notes of algae, walnut, sourdough, nutmeg, allspice, and a touch of capers.
Finish:
The finish is long and satisfying, with notes of apple, pear, liquorice, coffee, allspice, melon, and a hint of eucalyptus.
