Tarred ropes and coal ash sit up front, but with some time in the glass, fruitier notes appear – crisp and poached pears, rhubarb and sweet apple.
Taste
Oily in texture, with noticeable heat. The smoky notes are powerful, but a drop of water rolls them back to reveal a core of fruity pears and flamed orange zest.
Finish
Long, with dry smoke and spiced pears fading to menthol

Tar, iodine, peat smoke, ash. Ultra medicinal. Salty and also citrusy, yet again more on the overripe blood oranges and peat.
Finish
Peppery. Lots of wood smoke amidst the orange marmalade tar and brine. Tobacco leaves big-time.

Nose
Vanilla, then honeydew became prominent, with mint added in seconds. Green apple with peel, a bit of vegetative peat.
Taste
Not so sweet peach and green grapes, got sweeter in a few seconds. Some grape seeds, hay, vanilla and very mild pepper.
Finish
A mild and quick citrus zest, followed by sweet wood like cinnamon. Grape skin and cherry skin, sweetness seemed to come from English pear. Light ash from cedar
